0.6 vs 0.8 vs 1.2 ohm vape pods

The number helps describe the pod. Your exact device decides which options you can use; airflow and supported settings help decide how they feel.

Choose within your device's supported range

For a supported XROS setup, compare 0.6 ohm if you want a more open, higher-output direction, 0.8 ohm for the manufacturer's MTL profile, and 1.2 ohm for its tighter MTL profile. These are manufacturer descriptions, not measurements from our store.

Start with the exact pod and device instructions. Matching the resistance number alone does not prove that a pod fits.

0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm: a practical comparison

Adam Ben Malek and the Capital Vape store team report that choosing between these three numbers is a frequent customer question. The comparison below uses Vaporesso's published XROS profiles to explain the choice. It does not rate flavour, measure battery life or claim that one resistance is best for everyone.

Manufacturer XROS profiles; verify your exact device and Canadian pod pack
ResistanceDirection to compareCheck before choosing
0.6 ohmVaporesso describes a restricted direct-to-lung profile with warmer vapour.Your device supports this exact pod and its operating mode. More output is a preference, not an upgrade.
0.8 ohmVaporesso describes a mouth-to-lung profile. The resistance sits between the other two choices.Compare its supported settings and airflow with the pod you use now.
1.2 ohmVaporesso describes a very tight mouth-to-lung profile.Your exact device supports this resistance; the pod's name, generation and pack also match.

This is a choice guide, not a wattage chart. Manufacturer examples cover different XROS pod generations and capacities. Use the instructions for your actual Canadian pack and device instead of transferring a number from another version.

If the draw terms are unfamiliar, read MTL vs DTL. Airflow and device controls matter alongside resistance.

Read four details before buying

  1. Device model. Read the complete name on the device, box or original receipt.
  2. Pod family and generation. Match XROS, COREX version and CRC package information. A Vaporesso brand name by itself is insufficient.
  3. Capacity and resistance. The Capital Vape listing checked October 7, 2026 showed a four-pack with 3mL COREX 3.0 options, including 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm. Check the current selector for the exact option.
  4. Supported use. Confirm the pod's operating instructions and the device's supported modes. Follow the prescribed filling and preparation steps.

The XROS replacement pod listing is a pod purchase. It does not include the device or bottled e-liquid. If the model or old pod is unclear, send the store the device name and a photo of the old pod before ordering.

Ohms describe resistance, not nicotine strength

Ohms, written as Ω, measure electrical resistance. Watts describe power. Nicotine strength is a separate e-liquid label. A 0.8 ohm marking does not identify the bottle strength or tell you what liquid to buy.

Vaporesso's general guidance associates lower-resistance choices with more output and higher-resistance choices with a lower-output direction. Regulated device settings, airflow and pod construction also affect the result. The number alone cannot guarantee a particular flavour, throat sensation or number of days.

Use the nic salt vs freebase guide and VG/PG guide to understand bottle labels, then follow your exact device and pod guidance. This comparison does not prescribe a nicotine dose or a universal liquid recipe.

Questions we hear at the counter

Is 0.6 ohm better than 0.8 ohm?

Choose by the supported draw and settings you want. Vaporesso gives the two options different XROS profiles; that is not a tested ranking. Confirm both options are supported by your exact device before comparing them.

Can I replace a 0.8 ohm pod with 1.2 ohm?

Only when the exact replacement pod and resistance are supported by your device. The same shape or resistance on a different pod family does not prove compatibility. Use the wrong-pod order checklist if you are unsure.

Does higher resistance guarantee a longer-lasting pod?

No. This comparison has no measured pod-lifespan or battery-runtime result. If a pod tastes burnt or develops a problem, use the burnt-taste guide and the product instructions rather than choosing a replacement by ohms alone.

Checked October 7, 2026. Manufacturer profiles explain the comparison; the Capital Vape listing identifies the carried Canadian CRC pack. The store team's contribution is the recurring customer question. No controlled performance, flavour, battery or lifespan test was performed for this guide.
